What an almighty gain in weight! Cripes! I ate Thai food on Saturday,  we made pizza on Sunday, so I’ve eaten something everyday  (except Thursday) for a while and it’s definitely showing on the scales.

Thing is, I haven’t been eating a lot. I’ve not been gluttonous. I’ve definitely eaten less on my Fast Days than I would have normally eaten on a regular day. So in light of that, maybe it is true that ADF’s weightloss effects are more to do with the hormonal changes than just the simple calories consumed. If that is true, having something small on a fast day is a bad idea. That might explain why the up and down days didn’t work very well for me when I was doing them last year. I thought I might have been simply eating too much on down days but now I wonder whether it was  the lack of the right hormonal mix that fasting brings about that brings about more fat oxidation. I’m no scientist, but I think I’ll stick to the pure alternate day fasting from now, while I’m trying to lose a little weight. Flexiblity will be in the maintenance phase but not yet.
